STEVE TORRENCE MISSES READING STARTING LINEUP

October 5, 2013 --There will be no Torrence vs. Torrence Top Fuel race at Sunday’s Auto-Plus Nationals in Reading, PA. 

Steve Torrence, who last week qualified on his last of four runs at St. Louis, could not duplicate the result on Saturday’s effort.  His quickest of four runs – 3.996 seconds, 307.79 mph – had motor problems on the final lap. 

“We have been chasing various problems and we haven’t been able to figure it out,” Torrence said.  “We have two more races to go and two weeks to keep working on it.”

On the positive side, I do get to watch my dad Billy race tomorrow.  He does get to race and I will be there working to see if we can get a race win for him.”

Billy races defending Top Fuel champion Antron Brown in the first round for the second straight race.
